Nature Pages using the Baby Range

                                        

Emeline: totally inspired by the theme of the layout - nature. twirling of the ribbon around the chipboard swirl to resemble tree branches.

                                        

Michelle: My mum's garden has lots of little 'rooms' and beautiful plants and trees.  This one is my favourite.  I loved these photos of the little courtyard overlooked by the flowering dogwood, and the closeup photo of the dogwood.  The colours worked in beautifully.

                                       

Kristy: The morning dew flower is a soft yellow colour in the centre and the baby range of colours were perfect for the layout

Christmas Layouts

                                 

Emeline-The white doodling on the layout was to mimic snow

                                 

Emeline-This design was inspired by christmas garland. I kept the picture simple and converted it to localised colour for special touch.

                                 

Kristy-Jack was asking if santa was going to bring him some presents for christmas and I told him if he was a good boy Santa might just bring something and he said to me "What if I go HO HO HO will he bring me presents"  So I used the rubons and chipboard to make the title HO HO HO.

                                 

Kristy-This is one of my favorite pre christmas photos of my little girl, I wanted to use flowers,ribbon, bling brads and letters but I did not want to take away from the photo.  This is an 8 x 8 page but can be changed to a 12x12 easy just add some more ribbon and an extra flower and your set.

                               

Michelle-I wanted to create a landscape type background, to use the cute tree rubons, and selected a spotted paper to look like snow.  To highlight the borders of the paper strips I used rows of buttons and brads, with a fun ribbon fringe for the upper and lower edges, echoing the striped hats.  The strong horizontal elements balance the vertical placement of the 3 photos.

                                 

Michelle-I have had these pics of my sister since last year, always intending to scrap them (although she will probably kill me when she finds out LOL!)  When I saw the Ho Ho Ho rub on, I got the idea for the title.  I used the gel pen to duplicate the cute red snowflake rubons.  To suit the photos I selected the red and white colours from the Christmas collection

Girl Layouts using Christmas Range

Here are the girl layouts using the Christmas range.  As you can see, you can get so much more with the FTI Christmas products. :-) If you'd like to know what products were used, just click on the DT members gallery.

                                          

Michelle - I wanted to create a girly pretty layout, to suit the beautiful photos of a friend's daughter, so I made ribbon flowers to add dimension and used the sparkles brads to frame the photos, and the christmas colours were ideal for the photos.

                                          

Kristy - Love this photo of my little girl while on holidays earlier this year, its amazing to sit back and to watch what kids do and to wonder what they are thinking, the freedom to be so young and to roam free under a watchful eye.

                                          

Emeline - i had this picture kept for the longest time ! the green-white-red combination ties in well with the colours in the photo. The doodling on the alphabets and chipboard is inspired by the patterns on the ribbon.

It's Christmas Time

It's coming up to Christmas time but what do you do with the rest of your Christmas products?  Well our talented design team have been given the challenge to create Christmas, boy/man, girl and a layout of their choice using the Christmas range.  The boy/man layouts are below and check back in the next few days to see the other layouts.  If you'd like to know what products were used, just click on the DT members gallery.

                                 

Kristy - I have had this photo of my brother sitting for a while and when I got the christmas pack I just new that the colours were perfect for the page and my inspiration was to use all the brads and ribbon to make arrows and some of the Skinnies rubon words were perfect.  The chipboard letters worked well and I used a Heart Chipboard instead of the word Heart.

                                 

Emeline - fully inspired by the festive colors of this month's christmas colors! The pictures are taken on my boy's first party he attended. button borders to reiterate that he's cute as a button ...

                               

Michelle - I wanted to show the versatility of the FTI Christmas scheme - with a bit of brown ink and some strong coffee I gave the bright clear colours a dusty aged look, perfect for this photo of my son exploring the ancient woolshed at his Great Uncle's sheep station, a place he adores visiting.  I used an inked stamp to alter the white flower, the mulberry paper takes ink beautifully

Welcome to Finishing Touch Ideas - The Blog

Welcome to Finishing Touch Ideas - The Blog where we will showcase our amazing range of embellishments and show you how you can use them to enhance scrapbooking and stamping projects.

We will have layouts and sketches from our very talented Design Team as well as guest designers showcasing our great range of products. There will also be information about our classes and competitions.  While the classes will be for our wholesale customers, the competitions will be open for anyone to enter to win fantastic prizes!
